World class baritone and recording artist David Britton unveiled his uplifting collection of patriotic songs to fans today,Tuesday June 30, 2015. The digital release, entitled American Glory, is available just in time for Independence Day celebrations. The EP features four songs, including Britton’s stirring cover of the Lee Greenwood classic, “God Bless the USA,” the beloved “America the Beautiful,” an original tribute to our men and women in uniform called “The Warrior,” and a grandly orchestrated version of the National Anthem. Listeners will also enjoy a special bonus track–an astonishing, a cappella version of “The Star Spangled Banner.”
Britton, a classically trained vocalist who effortlessly merges the often disparate worlds of classical and pop music, is slated to appear on LeSea Television Network’s flagship show, The Harvest Show, on Thursday, July 2, 2015, where he will perform songs from American Glory. “In a world that is full of so much turmoil and pain, it is my goal to use music to shed a glimmer of light; to bring comfort to those that grieve, peace to those at war, hope to those that fail, encouragement to those that feel alone, joy to those in despair,” says Britton. “I am grateful for the opportunity to create music that does not fit within any specific genre, that allows me to leverage the unorthodox musical influences of my life, that people of all generations and tastes may find something that speaks to them. Above all else, it is my desire that those who listen may see past me to the One who created all things.”
American Glory is releasing on iTunes and other digital platforms in time for the 4th of July. Britton’s upcoming holiday project, Christmas, which released digitally last year, is slated for a brick & mortar release in Fall 2015.
